In the vast realm of networking groups, many seem to be filled with individuals who engage in empty gestures, attending a couple of events, exchanging business cards, and naively expecting extraordinary outcomes.
Above Par Network is different from the rest!
Think about your experiences with traditional networking groups like Chambers, BNI, and Rotaries. Sure, they work, but let’s be honest—it often feels repetitive, and the price to join can be steep. At APN, we set ourselves apart by making networking accessible to anyone who wants it. Our Social Membership starts at just $89 annually, and our basic business-level membership is only $175 a year.
At APN, we host everything from traditional networking events like happy hours and lunch mobs to more unique offerings. We have a cigar club, golf outings, golf trips, pub crawls, wine tasting parties, suites at local sporting events, and a robust business development program. There’s truly something for everyone.
But let’s be clear: membership is like a gym. Simply signing up won’t guarantee results. Like anything in life, you have to show up and put in the effort. We offer a wide variety of well-attended events that give you countless opportunities to meet new people, build meaningful relationships, and over time, experience the benefits of your investment.

Social Gatherings
Our social events include Network Happy Hours, Lunch Mobs, and various other occasions where members come together to connect, build rapport, and strengthen relationships. These gatherings are designed to foster organic connections and encourage one-on-one interactions outside of our regularly scheduled APN events, creating a relaxed atmosphere for networking and collaboration.
Business Development
While we do have larger companies like Cox Media and Waste Management in the network, the majority of our members are small to medium-sized businesses. Our Business Development Program offers a series of events designed to help CEOs, business development leaders, sales professionals, and others grow both personally and professionally. Through these events, members gain valuable insights, strategies, and connections that support business growth and career advancement.
Bonus Events
Plain and simple, one thing that sets us apart from traditional networking organizations is that we don’t have all the red tape. Yes, networking can actually be fun! Our bonus events include wine and tequila tasting parties, pub crawls to network bars, our annual nonprofit poker tournament, suites at sporting events, and more. These events provide a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere that allows members to build genuine friendships while networking.
Golf Outings
Many people hear “Above Par Network” and assume we’re just a golf networking group. WRONG! The name was chosen to represent Above Average Networking. That said, we do offer a variety of golf events, including local outings, an indoor golf league, glow ball tournaments, Birdies and Business events, and out-of-town trips like our annual visits to Palm Springs, CA, and Myrtle Beach, SC.
Why golf? The truth is, many business deals are made while walking the fairways. Spending 3-4 hours with someone during a round of golf provides the intimate environment needed to build meaningful relationships and truly get to know someone.
